We recently attended a glamorous pamper session hosted by hair care brand, Ladine, as it launched its new Natural Therapy hair product range. To say guests weren’t spoiled rotten would be an understatement.
Selected press were invited to the exclusive hair pamper session at the luxurious Le Looks hair salon located at Mall of the South in Mulbarton, Johannesburg. Here, guests were allocated individual hair appointments with the professional Le Looks hair technicians, who were armed with their tools and ready to slay our hairs in style.

When I went in, I had had my hair in butt-length box braids, which I must say were long overdue, and wondered what the team could possibly do for the hot mess bubbling under my fibres. And although I was still unsure on whether I would undo or keep the braids, the two amazing hairstylists allocated to me, Mduduzi Shongwe and Thandiwe Moholatsi, were more than happy to undo and hook a sister up with a fresh new hairdo. I couldn’t say no!

If you thought there are no products for braided or weaved hair in Mzansi, then you thought wrong; Mdu schooled me on the various Ladine products available for braid care and even tested some of these on my braids before the “undoing” process began.
Mdu first used the Ladine Fresh and Lasting Spray with Baobab Oil, which is perfect for keeping braids and weaves fresh, itch free and odorless. He then showed me Ladine’s Hair Renewal Oil that’s packed with ylang ylang to help reduce hair loss caused by braiding or chemical damage.
The demonstration was amazing and I was immediately sold. Mdu and Thandiwe then began with their magic while I sipped on some good champagne. I must admit, I felt like royalty at the hands of these two stellar stylists.

Once my hair was undone, washed and deep conditioned, the team proceeded to tell me about the exciting new Ladine Natural Therapy range being launched. If you’re a curly, kinky sister, then you’re going to love this range.
The products are suitable for natural hair, which has not been changed through relaxing, straightening or perming. I was informed that bleached and tinted hair is also considered “natural”, but only if the hair has not been altered and still retains its natural curl pattern.

If you’re still looking for a regimen and the best products to manage your coils, you might just want to check these products out, as they carry the trusted Ladine stamp and quality.
The range is perfect for softening, conditioning, detangling, and revitalizing natural hair; all the things naturals struggle with and find that their products don’t do. Being able to manage your natural hair is key for naturals; soft and healthy hair is essential and this range promises to deliver in these departments.

The three unique products now available from the range are:
Natural Therapy 4-in-1 Shampoo with Argan Oil

This baby revitalizes both natural and chemically treated hair. It’s also good for dry, frizzy and flyaway hair. Its innovative formula cleanses, detangles, moisturises and conditions the hair, while preventing it from frizzing in humid conditions. With this, your hair is left soft, smoothed, shiny and most important, manageable.
Natural Therapy Soft-Soft Spray with Marula Oil

This spray helps to soften, condition, detangle and revitalise natural hair. Due to its easy absorption nature, your hair is left naturally soft and healthy-looking, without that stickiness or residue we so hate.
Natural Therapy Moisturizing Anti-Shrinkage Cream with Marula Oil

Shrinkage is real for naturals. To combat it, Ladine has formulated this anti-shrinkage cream with Marula oil, which is easily absorbed leaving you with soft, revitalised hair. Its rich formula enhances and stretches your curls, making it a perfect soft hold for those natural styles.
Ladine is definitely breaking boundaries with its revolutionary hair products. If you have tried any of the Ladine products, including the new Natural Therapy range, do let us know how you liked using them and which products are your must-haves.

Thank you to Ladine and the Le Looks Mall of the South staff for a splendid, pamper-filled day. It was refreshing.
