Laybouts members Leigh Darlow and Alex Paschali say they are super excited to be back in South Africa as they are billed to play once again at this year’s spring fiesta, This is not the first time that the Layabouts become headliners at the event as they were the main acts back in 2012. These two friends who are obsessed music lovers love producing deep and soulful house music and this time around their set will be extra special as they have collaborated and made a song with a local vocal artist who goes by the name Zano on a melodic tune titled “no lie”. Speaking to media at a press conference at the Emperor’s palace in the east of Joburg the duo told media that they will be playing a live show with the wonderful Imaani and Portia Monique as well, they were not answering questions alone though as they were accompanied by DJ Shimza, Euphonik, Fresh, Lulo Café, Portia Monique, Naves and Ricardo Costa from Soul Candi. The North London-based producers also blessed the media with a live acoustic performance with Portia Monique and Zano on their hit songs “colours of love” and “no lie” respectively, Soul Candi’s Spring Fiesta has seen great success over the past three years with the 2013 event catering to over 13,000 festival goers. The event is taking place at the Wild Waters Complex in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni on Saturday, 4th October 2014.
