It is with great sadness that we report that the legendary South African actor Nyembezi Kunene has passed away. Kunene was also a film director best known for his role as Jabulani Dlomo, the uncle of Sibusiso (Menzi Ngubane), in the SABC 1 soapie Generations, from 2007-2009. Nyembezi has passed on following a prolonged illness, “Nyemza” as he was known by his peers and friends, lost his battle with diabetes and died peacefully at the Lesedi Hospital in Soweto, late on Saturday evening. He will be remembered for his many roles he played in various TV and Film productions in a career spanning well over three decades. May his soul Rest In Peace.
