The SAMA winning South African songstress just tweeted “Thanks for the LOVE! I am SO excited about my #BETAwards2012 Nomination! Looking forward to going to LA! Much LUV!” this comes shortly after BET (Black Entertainment Television) announced that Lira has been nominated for the Best International Act in Africa category. She will be competing against artists from other African countries including Wizkid from Nigeria, Camp Mulla from Kenya and Sarkodie from Ghana. This year’s awards will be hosted by the popular big screen actor Samuel L Jackson. The awards will be televised on TopTV (channel 190) on July 3 at 20:00.
