Better known by his moniker Lali Boy, Jerry Kanzi is the founder of the clothing brand #SelfMadeSpoiltBrat! Lali Boy is a Xhosa rapper, graphic designer, and visual artist, who seems to have every one of his fingers in every pie.
He recently dropped 2 songs titled Sindi and Ndikuthandile featuring the vocals of Bonny Silotile. His music consists of heavy Trap influences and with his Xhosa rhymes, this makes the sound fresh. The electro elements of his music actually reminds me of a young Mashayabhuqe.
On Ndikuthandile he raps about a love that he has lost due to people meddling in his affairs and his own mistakes. On Sindi he raps about the days when he used to date different girls at the same time but never truly appreciated the true gem in his life.
His subject matter is that from an everyday guy who faces challenges within his music, lovelife and his everyday life. It has no bling bling or imagined lifestyle but it tells his story from a real and authentic perspective.
