She may have had a rough and bumpy introduction to the music industry but Nuz Queen is not willing to let it get her down. She recently dropped a song titled Yung Busisa, a diss aimed directly at Kalawa Chikita, Busiswa.
If you can recall, she was accused of stealing Ed Harris, Pearl and Sdudla Somdantso’s hit song, Laze Lavuka Idimoni Lami (Gagashe). Nuz Quz Queen went as far as shooting a music video for the song and even put it up on all major digital stores. This angered a lot of people who have heard the original song and the backlash on Nuz Queen was heavy.
Busiswa was not willing to take that lying down and made a diss song aimed at Nuz Queen on Ed Harris’s beat. Gagashe II was addressing Nuz Queen and her alleged theft of the song and effectively naming her a clown and a trick.
Busiswa went ham in defense of the three relatively unknown artists and justified it by stating that they don’t have a voice or big enough platform to address this.
Did Nuz Queen just revive her beef with Busiswa?
This may have been Gqom’s first diss song and the beef is amplified with Nuz Queen’s clapback. Yung Busisa doesn’t really take shots at Busiswa and her “lack of talent” lyrically.
It also does not address claims she stole her hit song Laze Lavuka iDimoni Lami. But the beat is funky and her adlibs are on point. She may have a few shots here and there about her haters not prevailing against her, but that’s all there is.
The beat is definitely well made and it just commands one to dance. The 66 minute keeps the energy from the first minute to the last. If this is what summer sounds like, we can’t wait!
