Rising trap artist, Rémo recently dropped his latest single titled Done Boyz. Formerly known as Taiter Trillest, Rémo makes a comeback with a whole new vibe and new message.
It is not rare for rappers to change their names, some of our all-time favourites have. P Diddy was once referred to as Puff Daddy and Snoop Dogg now prefers to be called Snoop Lion. Now when we bring it much closer to home, Stogie T was once professionally known as Tumi from The Volume and Pro Kid dropped the “kid” and just went by Pro. It’s all part of the game.
Rémo has rebranded not just his name but also his sound. While he still stuck to what he is good at, which is making contemporary Trap music, he switches it up and gives us mellow vibes on Done Boyz. His first single as Rémo released in a visual format with the release of the No Favours music video, which showcases Rémo’s melancholic trap side.
In Done Boyz he lets us into his world and his mindstate while addressing his personal progress. He details what it took for him to gain some introspection and find value in who he is.
“I went with the wind I got blown for some henny / Like damn it, is this life that I want
The toils and spoils/ The fake friends ofcourse had a cause
So I can be/ Who I am, the guy I address
And fuck it the only guy I aim to impress”
Done Boyz is available for purchase and streaming on all major digital stores.
