Miss South Africa 2022 Took Place This Past Weekend And Our Local Celebrities Didn’t Miss The Opportunity to Show Up And Out.
Congratulations to Ndavi Nokeri our newly crowned Miss South Africa for 2022. Upon her win, the gorgeous 23-year-old from Tzaneeen, Limpopo took to her Instagram to share her gratitude. She quoted Luke 1:45, “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfil His promises to her”. She continued to say, “South Africa, I am at a loss for words. Thank you for showering me with all your love and for warmly embracing me. I look forward to representing you with honour and pride. To a year of impact. Ndza Khensa, Thank you”. Ndavi studied Bcom Investment Management at the University of Pretoria.
South Africans were highly impressed by Ndavi Nokeri. President Cyril Ramaphosa took to his Twitter to congratulate the newly crowned Miss South Africa. He state that he was most most inspired by Ndavi’s reflection on our shared responsibility as a nation in ensuring a sustainable, innovative and inclusive South Africa that unlocks opportunities for all.
Thando Thabethe was not only a judge but her brand Thabootys partnered with Miss South Africa to design couture swimsuits. The finalists looked exquisite as they walked the stage. Alongside Thando Thabethe as judges was former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu, Professor Thulisilie “Thuli” Madonsela, former Miss World Rolene Strauss, former Miss South Africa Suzette van der Merwe and Devi Govende. Amongst other women that are making power moves at Miss South Africa, Bongang Matheba‘s went from being a presenter to sponsoring the event with House of BNG . The likes of Elaine, Boity, Nadia Nakai and Rouge gave a memorable performance. Makhadzi who fans claim left her heart on the stage and Loyiso with his soothing voice were amongst the performers. Although Ndoni didn’t win Idols SA, she dominated the airwaves with two smash hits – Emakhaya by Oskido and Phakeme by Heavy K and was given an opportunity to perform.
