Dineo Moeketsi plays a character called Gugu, Gugu has experienced a lot of rejection and pain in her past relationships and she no longer believes in “True Love” but things take a turn for her when she meets Dumile. “I think some people can relate to Gugu. She leads a dear lifestyle and wants to keep it that way. Her relationship selections are based on materialistic things. She wants to know what you drive, what do you do for a living, what your parents do, where you live and so on but she later realises that these things don’t matter” says Moeketsi.
Thapelo Mokoena says that his character (Dumile) believes that he can fix and unfix everyone that he encounters. “He is not a hopeless romantic, he doesn’t believe in true love and he isn’t looking for true love. But he is looking to be dominant, to be controlling and to be the boss of every situation. He is not the true love type of guy but he believes that he is the ‘Right Guy’ says Mokoena.
Lehasa Moloi takes on the character of Joe who is a chicken farmer. Although Joe has been knocked down by life plenty of times, he is still full of hope, Joe is a hopeless romantic who has a lot of love to offer. “Love is one of the strongest forces in the universe, so to be privileged enough to even experience it in its truest form, even once in your life, is real happiness“ says Lehase.
