Following a successful 2016 of nothing but hits, collaborations, and a warm reception from the music industry the Soweto representatives have done it again and set the pace for the year ahead. Rap Duo, Mad On Dough are proud to announce the release of their brand new single titled Piti.
The duo compromises of two brothers, Moxx, real name Mxolisi and Chocco, real name Sabelo from Soweto who are young and vibrant rappers who chose the rap name “Mad On Dough” as a play on their surname Madondo.
Piti is a different pace from what we are used from the duo, the last body of work was more up beat and ready to party. This time the duo has decided to take a chill pill on the pace and still manage to get you dancing. The hook is an old folk tale mixed with an old dance the originated from Soweto, hence the title Piti.
What striked me about the song is the fact that it has an old school Kwaito flavour with new school variations introduced in the way that the guys rap over the neo-Kwaito beat and of course their flows. It’s nothing new that they are doing but it is not a bad listen either.
