On screen, he is known as Skhumbuzo “Ace” Nzimande, the bad boy of Horizon Deep, who seems to change women as much as often as he does socks. But in real life, Sisa Hewana is a devoted dad of two and a focused young man with dreams of becoming a director and film maker.
When Sisa playfully entered the 2010 Isidingo talent search competition, little did he know that five years on, he would be a household name loved by many in Mzansi. In an interview with Destiny Connect, Sisa admits to being privileged for having lasted this long in a role that was only meant to last until the end of the 2010 World Cup.
Since then, the 31-year-old economics graduate has done pretty well for himself. Apart from acting on one of Mzansi’s biggest primetime soapie, Isidingo, Sisa also owns a production company called, The Producers. He also holds it down as the Lotto & Lotto Plus draw presenter on SABC 2.
He has also revealed that he owns a recording company called AS Recordings in the Eastern Cape and is focused on growing and nurturing local talent. As if that wasn’t enough, Sisa also reveals that his talents also include writing and producing music. He was also unveiled as the brand ambassador for luxury handcraft leather shoe brand, John Drake Shoes.
What you may not know about this Port Elizabeth born actor is that he is the older brother to afro soul singer, Vusi Nova and is currently coupled up with former Yo-TV presenter, Ivana Morailane.
