Young, talented singer/songwriter Mello Soul is ready for the world to hear her music. She’s currently working on her debut album that’s set for release in early 2014 but while her fans wait, Mello Soul has decided to release her debut single titled “You & I”. “You & I” is the debut single from B.A.D Music’s first lady Mello Soul. The single is currently play-listed on some of the country’s biggest radio stations and will soon be followed by a music video that was recently shot in Johannesburg.
Born Mamello Eleonora Juqula, now better as Mello Soul on stage. Mello Soul is a South African singer and songwriter born in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal. Her love for music began at the tender age of 6; she grew up listening to R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul and Jazz Music. Looking back today, artists that influenced her music immensely include Sade, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker and Beyoncé. Although Mello Soul’s music falls under the Afro-Pop/Soul genre, she’s also a multitalented artist who can easily switch to other genres such as R&B and House.
Speaking about her music, Mello Soul said: “I plan to bring a whole new vibe to the South African Music Industry. Something more soulful with both an African and international feel! I’m making music that will be easily understood by people from all over the world and hopefully, it will be received well too”.
