This past weekend South African RnB lovers were blessed with the presence of a Grammy award winner singer who goes by the name of Miguel. A very popular international music magazine dubbed him “the world’s best kept secret” and I fully agree with them after seeing his dope performance at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena in Jozi on the first of March. He was supported by a montage of South Africa’s artists’ such as Zakes Bantwini, Donald and Khaya Mthethwa. We were fortunate enough to get exclusive behind the scenes photos of Miguel in his dressing room and we got to see which local celebs he hangs around with, The official after party was held at Hush in Rosebank. Miguel is one of R&B’s most exciting and versatile stars, He is part of a new breed of singers revitalizing the R&B genre by meshing traditional R&B with elements of funk and rock. Unlike most of the international acts that visit the country Migues is the coolest as he does not take himself too seriously and he is down to earth, big ups to him.
