YFM’s drive time DJ, Club DJ and TV presenter, Moeti Tsiki (known as Mo Flava), has once again, for the second time in 2014, partnered with Boston Media House on an endeavor to help get the Mzansi youth educated. In total, 5 bursaries for Diploma and Degree Courses in Radio and Media Studies will be awarded to deserving candidates. Hopefuls are welcome to attend the (radio) auditions at Boston Media House Campuses in Pretoria (21 June 2014), in Johannesburg (28 June and 12 July 2014) and in Durban (August – date TBC). Candidates must come to the auditions with their valid South African Identity book as well as their matric results. Only those youth who matriculated between 2012 and 2013 will be allowed to audition.
Mo Flava said: “Well, it’s no secret that one of the main areas of concern in South Africa is not only the lack of educated youth, but also the lack of quality education. My quest is give back to my trade as a radio personality, but to also empower the youth that have dreams just like me. As it is youth month, I feel obliged to make my contribution felt.” The previous bursary giveaway which happened earlier this year was a huge success, and has seen 8 youth in total on the quest to getting their qualification and will hopefully, make a positive contribution to society.
