Moozlie, felt emotional at Cotton Fest JHB 2024, an event that celebrated the late Riky Rick’s legacy. The event brought together artists, reminding Moozlie of the rap icon’s impact. Following the success of the festival, Moozlie expressed gratitude and excitement. She shared a heartfelt note, starting with a bible verse that resonated with memories of Riky Rick.
Even though Riky Rick passed away two years ago, his spirit of “We Never Die, We Multiply” lives on. His influence continues through his loyal fans, collaborators, and fellow artists who honour his important contributions to the culture.

“This verse always reminds me of my friend Riky. At every single @cottonfestjhb I marvel at how he was able to bring us all together. This year in particular was really special. It really hit home for me that God keeps His promises. It’s been 2 years since Riky passed but the event was SOLD OUT!! And everyone was still screaming BOSS ZONKE!! This land is really still his home,” she wrote.
“God is faithful & able. With a track record that truly speaks for itself. How He turned all of our heartache, pain, anger & confusion into these beautiful flashing lights. Into dancing in the rain. Into a community that is way deeper than we could ever articulate to anyone… I am in absolute awe! He is undoubtedly the ULTIMATE creator I say all that to say… God keeps His promises. Anything that says otherwise is a flat out lie from the devil,” she added.
