We don’t know about you but we are super stoked to have hip-hop legend, Mos Def living among us as a new-found “South African” brother. The muso has been rumoured to be living in Cape Town for a minute now and we can’t image how dope it must be for fellow Capetonians to bump into Yasiin Bey while randomly walking the Mother City streets?
Well, what’s even more cool is that the hot rapper has joined the line-up of South Africa’s newest online radio station, The Eye, which was launched a month ago by radio veterans, Jon Savage and Catherine Grenfell. The unorthodox radio station will offer its listeners a dose of radio shows hosted by badass celebs with serious street cred.
Mos Def, along with American journalist, artist and producer, Ferrari Sheppard have been the latest celebrities to join the station and hosted their first, two-hour live show yesterday.
Live for Cape Town for the next 2 hours. @MosDefOfficial & @stopbeingfamous. They can do whatever they want. We’re not the boss of them. pic.twitter.com/sb761J3AR7
