Musa Keys receives 2 plaques for his eight-track debut album, TAYO which exceeded 25 million audio streams and 13 million views

Tsonga Michael Jackson, Musa Keys has clocked in another incredible milestone. His debut album, TAYO has surpassed 25 million streams, just 4 months after its release. The proven hit maker also shared that his single, Selema (Po Po) reached 3 million streams. TAYO is officially certified Gold.

Because TAYO is also a visual album, it received 13 million views while Selema (Po Po) surpassed 3 million audio streams and 1 million views.

TAYO means ‘source of joy’ in Yoruba and it brought just that to Musa Keys’ fans

TAYO is Musa Keys’ debut album. It is full of power, melodic anthems and is a culmination of Musa Keys’ signature style cultivated by raw and nostalgic post internet era endearment. The milestone is a significant one since TAYO was destined for greatness even before its release.

Almost as a prophetic first born, Selema (Po Po) is the first single on the album and it is the song that reached great milestone. Selema (Po Po) shows his ambitions to take over the African continent by featuring emerging Tanzanian act Loui through collaboration – intentionally planning to open new markets in East Africa and West Africa.

Musa Keys sprung on the mainstream Amapiano scene in 2020 after emerging as a “mumble rapper” releasing Samarian Boy. The song broke him to fame with over 6 millions streams across all digital platforms while the leading single Vula Mlomo off the new album cemented him a multi platinum hitmaker with a long career ahead of him.
