This move to Black Major came after she it was reported that Sha Sha failed to honour a show she was booked for in Zimbabwe.  This exposed the divorce between herself and her long term manager, Fungai “Kush” Zvirawa. Kush explained that they were in a process of terminating their contract with Sha Sha.  “From March 5, 2022, Khaya Defero and ShaSha officially commenced terminating the management engagement. It was a process,” she told The Herald.

She later released a statement to explain to his fans in Zimbabwe about what happened.

Sha Sha’s move to Black Major is expected to escalate her to international superstardom

The Love You Tonight hitmaker has already broken through continental boundaries by becoming the queen of Amapiano and winning the coveted BET Award.

In 2020 she earned her first international award in 2020 when she took home the Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act award at the prestigious BET Awards. She became the first Zimbabwean to receive the honour.

Other notable accolades have been for her top-drawer collaborations and include Record of The Year for Akulaleki, with Samthing Soweto, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, at the 2020 South African Music Awards. She also received SAMA nominations for Best Collaboration for Love You Tonight (with MFR Souls, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small) and Tender Love (with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small) – and in 2021 she was nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the MTV Africa Music Awards.
