Wandile Mathe who goes by the artist name 1D is ready to release his third mixtape and hottest work to date. But first, he blesses us with the super jazzy and boom bap influenced joint titled Simple.
After the success of his previous mixtapes The Unknown and The Reign, now comes the high energetic hip hop mix tape Sticksman’s Revenge. Stickman’s Revenge features the first single Simple and is published by Sheer Music Publishing.
Just in time for year end, this is a Hip Hop track you should be hearing at all the poolside parties. It’s upbeat, playful and vibrant plus the beat is easy enough to bump to when you are at your most relaxed or stressed state. It works either way.
Based in Johannesburg, Springs, 1D’s style is Hip Hop and RnB inspired; this is evident from his style of rap and how he writes. On Simple, 1D flexes his lyrical prowess on this jazzy beat and the flow is anything but typical. It’s quite refreshing hear 1D playful and easy on a track considering that his previous joints are a bit too heavy.
Simple is a fusion of urbanely fresh instrumentals and versatile vocals, From Rap to singing and we have Brian Mushongera to thank for this. He did an amazing job on the beat.
