Nanyi Ernest Ngoe, better known by his moniker Giver Boi, is a Cameroonian born afro pop artist who is currently based in Johannesburg.
Giver Boi’s love for music began at a young age and he was inspired by both local and international artists. He realized that Afro Pop was the direction of music he wanted to take after falling in love with music made by artists such as P Square, Mafikizolo and Diamond platinum to name a few.
Giver Boi has performed with both international and local acts and has released a number of singles- one of them being New Money Ft Rhyma. The song changed his life and gave him hope of his staying power in the industry.
He recently dropped a single, Putu Putu featuring DJ Tira, Dj Soxx, Naaq Musiq and Dj Maphorisa. The track, Putu Putu is an energetic and vibrant song about fly mamis and being free in your own skin. This song is upbeat and I can only imagine how colourful and vibrant the video will be.
