Earlier this week she announced that her debut album, The New Era Sessions will be dropping in September and then she teased us with a video that can only be described as a movie. And now, Rouge drops her latest single, Deja Vu taken from her upcoming album and man is it a banger!
Rouge never disappoints. The Mbongo Zaka lyricist has got this rapping thing down to a tee and we see this by the fruits of her work. She is not the type of raper who floods you with new singles every second day but takes her time with her work and we certainly hear this from the quality of her work- from the bars to the beats.
Deja Vu is a testament of her growth and being able to show her versatility as an artist. Besides the bars and her knack for insane flows, she has the hook on lock. The pace of it reminds me of something the Supa Mega might put together. Truly catchy. Ron Epidemic handles the beat and the results are stunning. This is a straight up Trap joint. The bounce and intensity of the bass is something to behold!
