Mikey Dee is a South African DJ, radio personality, singer and music artist. Known for his passion for South African house, hip hop and dance hits, Mikey Dee has recently released 3 brand new tracks, his latest the floor filler hit FIND ME IN THE CLUB.
Born in Kroonstad, South Africa and now based in Dublin, when not performing Mikey Dee spends his time as a motivational youth speaker, dedicated to helping the youth set goals and follow their dreams and aspirations. Mikey left South Africa at the age of 21, travelled to Dubai on a musical prayer and has been travelling ever since, experiencing life and honing his musical skills. Mikey is currently represented by Entertainment Inc “ ZR Royal Inc & Co “ (Dublin).
Mikey Dee’s music is all about the feel and the beat and is a smorgasbord of genres, mixing up his love for South African Pop and Hip Hop with floor-to-floor club bangers, regardless of tempo, beat or style, Mikey’s set will give you goosebumps when you least expect it.
FIND ME IN THE CLUB was released in December 2017 and is an energetic tune, fun to listen to, fun dance to and promotes “happy vibes”. Mikey says: “I desperately needed to release a fun single as in 2017 I went through a tough time and I lost my mother to an illness which made me very down – so this song FIND ME IN THE CLUB lifted my spirits again”.
Heavily inspired by South African House, Hip Hop and Kwaito, Mikey mixes these genres into his club sets and style giving him a unique and diverse sound. Working on his brand new EP, Mikey is currently playing gigs in the Middle East and Europe and hopes to return to South Africa for some gigs soon.
