Following a quiet entrance into 2018, neo-soul singer and songwriter, Naye Ayla, has returned with another single. Titled Accident, the new song is catchy, heart-soothing, and therapeutic which showcases her voice in the best possible way.
The single carries a heavy message, but as always, Naye suggests – it’s not that deep. Loosely translated it talks about tripping, falling, and eventually finding yourself in the midst of your surroundings and environment, loving yourself, irrespective of how people feel about you. Naye’s long-time producer, KayWizz, comes to play, with his trippop, hard bass beat, accompanying the soulful singer’s lyrical content.
The single is a bonus track off the singer’s debut worldwide rerelease, Exi(st). The EP which features industry favourite Una Rams and well known wordsmith, YoungstaCPT.
The song is currently available on the Apple Music Store.
Fifi Cooper Going Back To Her Roots With New Album, Take Me Back
From the first lady to boss lady, it’s now time for the release of the rapper and singer’s sophomore album: Fifi Cooper is back with a brand new album titled Take Me Back.
This is one of the most anticipated albums of 2018 and is the first project from her record label, MoCooper Records. The Motswako rapper did not hold back at all this time with her breath-taking & versatile flows that are backed-up by melodic beats.
The 21 track album includes singles like Calling featuring Moozlie and Emoyeni featuring Thabsie just to name but a few. The buzzing new single Zwagala, which is the first featured single, is already creating a craze on the radio airwaves and is being touted as THE street anthem.
When asked why the album was titled Take Me Back, this is what she had to say:
“I named it Take Me Back because in it, I am going back to my roots of Motswako. I did different things in the past because I was not in control of my creativity but now that I am my own boss, I will stick to what I know best.”
Mooketsi then added: “I wanted the album to be released in August as my way of saying RIP to Mama Winnie [Mandela]. I appreciate her teachings and it is interesting that, women like me are still going through our own struggles,”
The album dropped today and is available for streaming and purchase on all major digital stores. Fans can also look forward to the Zwagala music video which should be dropping soon.
