Reality TV sensation, Siphelele Fuze, has come back with what promises to be a household and wedding day favourite. Sticking to his signature Afro Soul style, Siphelele’s latest single titled Turn Off the Lights is a celebration of love.
Siphelele is a classical trained vocalist who shot to fame on season 1 of reality show Idols SA. The talented singer has also cut his teeth as a backing vocalist for a number of renowned artists. Turn Off The Lights marks Siphelele’s return to the music industry following a hiatus after reaching the top 4 on Idols.
He describes his music as “a mixture of conservative and contemporary tunes” and Turn Off The Lights is just that. It is a sensual and sweet song with a grown up feel to it. The song is an ode to a lover who, through its power to triumph through trials, sees them create an unbreakable bond and stand the test of time. Siphelele still sounds great, hitting high notes with elegant melodies and a refined tone.
“I try to write beyond myself and to write about the issues that we all face in our daily lives,” he expresses.
Turn Off The Lights is enjoying airplay on South African radio peaking at number 15 on the South African Top 100 RAMS charts.
