For a few brief moments, early in Stilo Magolide’s song A Minute, it seems as though romance might actually rule over rabid raunchiness. “I ain’t seen you in a minute and it feels so unusual,” Jay Claude croons.
But a reference to “genuine with the finesse when I’m ridin’ it” serves as our cue that Stilo isn’t about to go all cupcake soft on us. Magolide’s seemingly romantic sentiments, it turns out, are merely a prelude to reminiscence about his girl’s special ability when “going to the boneyard”.
Be as it may, the storytelling in this love story is unique as it encompasses all the things a bad boy would miss about his vixen, the intense love-making and being taken care of by his lady. True to his nature, Stilo delivers A Minute in a Caribbean-esque type of flow.
This is the 3rd single from his debut album Tropicana Jiiig and yet again, we have been treated to another banger. A little different, as this one will be appreciated more by his female fans, but also resonates highly with his chiccos (the guys).
The one thing that has always stood out about him has always been his amazing baritone voice, which he can easily manoeuvre to suit any type of beat. Well delivered and told, this particular story will certainly leave a mark on the ladies that want to hear sweet things from their men, especially approaching the month of love.
A Minute is set to make it’s official debut on The Drive Show on Metro Fm today. Will you be listening? Stream and download it on iTunes.
