Swif BiKo is a South African rapper that has a unique way of blending African sounds with hip hop. Swif is an acronym for “Say What I Feel. The rapper recently dropped his mixtape titled 10 outa 10 which features a variety of artists including Palesa Bloom, Playa Muisc and Sam to name a few.
10 outa 10 is Swif’s debut mixtape and it has been getting plenty of love from all over the world since it dropped early this month. The project is a mixture of many sounds, which is probably why Swif stands out from the rest.
He had this to say about the mixtape: ” Ok, so let me tell you a little story about this tape. I was homeless and broke when i recorded it, but I didn’t see that as something that I would stop me from making and releasing music.
I used Whatsapp to design the artwork for it, got 70% of the beats from my producer Kaysick, recorded at a friend’s studio and did most of the mixing myself. I hold this mixtape very close to my heart, it’ll always remind me of the rough times one went through to try and make it in the music industry”.
Swif is also a crew member of Weird, a music outfit which consists of himself and his brother Ra-Jah. They dropped a song, Good Vibes, which featured heavyweight Zakwe and had the music video playlisted on popular music channels Trace, Channel O and MTV Base. In addition to that Swif has worked with Ross Geez from the USA and Mace from Italy among many others.
