NEW EP ALERT: NLK The Prozuloo Drops Yini Uthando EP
Nkululeko Lukhele is a singer, song writer and producer from Daveyton. A self-taught producer, NLK the Prozuloo fell in love with music at an early age and decided to experiment with music software. His love for music grew and he developed a keen ear for producing, recording, mixing and mastering.
Yini Uthando is the first body of work from NLK the Prozuloo, which was released as a 7 track EP. An emotionally charged project, NLK explores love through various themes. Asked to describe his sound, the producer says that
“It is a mixture of early 90s bubble gum, mixed with slow kwaito sounds, that we miss”.
He fuses these classical sounds with slow lazy vocals that certainly get you reminiscing about the good old days. From storylines, production and vocal prowess, NLK The Prozuloo uses this project to announce his arrival in the colourful South African music scene. Yini Uthando is preceded by Thando Lwakudala, the only song with a feature off the project, which was dropped as a single in December 2017.
Currently the single that has been released is the upbeat, feel good jam called Usangikhumbula which continues in the project theme about love. This single is also available on all commercial platforms for download and streaming.
