Following the success of her second single Chest Pains, R&B and Soul singer Priyanka is proud to announce the release of her new music video for the single.
The song which is also about an intense and almost forbidden love for something that is somehow not good for you. A bad habit that is so intense and deep that it is difficult to break away from it.
The video depicts a story of intense love, heart break and of course chest pains. At the beginning of the video, we see the couple in love and it seems like the world is perfect and they are at a really good place. something happens and changes the mod of their relationship.
They end up arguing and fighting. The way that the video is edited is quite dope because this story cuts between the good time and the not so great times and that gives this video so much depth and shows the intensity of the relationship.
Chest Pains is a mix of cinematic story telling with trendy high performance scenes shot with a bokeh style. The amount of colour and vibrant energy in the choreographed parts juxtapose to the intense emotions that is shown when the actors are interacting.
Shot in Johannesburg the music video was directed by Yash Lucid alongside Marcus Von Geyso, Diogo Mendonca and Rick Joaquim, who all hold much weight within the industry having directed and produced work for the likes of Nasty C, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick and Major League DJ’s amongst many others.
With her music play listed on multiple radio stations and various media platforms across the country, Priyanka is currently in studio working on her debut album due for release later on in the year.
