He dropped Amakentanga which features Babe Wodumo, about 5 months ago and now Mampintsha brings us the visuals. This was West Ink boss’ first solo single since splitting from Big Nuz late last year and it caused quite a stir in the streets.
For the video, Mampintsha took a different direction and made it about the kids. Mampintsha took the video to the townships with a sauce of the usual Gqom stuffs. There is still lots of dancing and vibing with people having fun and living the essence of the song.
But the different thing this time around is that everyone is a child! From the DJ Kaybee to Babes to Mampinstha, all of these characters are represented by the kids.
Maybe this was a strategy on Mampintsha’s end to ensure that there is no drama or hassle with getting Babes Wodumo to do the video with him since they “broke up”. And if this was the case then the route taken is genius.
The music video is shot on location with the bulk of the screen time in a park. And not just a normal park but one which has swings these young children are playing with and just being kids.
The rest of the video sees a young Babes introduced when the party moves to a house. The child actually looks like she may be related to Babes Wodumo.
