After a brief hiatus, New Money Gang Records, first lady and Amapiano sensation Nia Pearl is set to enchant music lovers once again with her highly anticipated comeback EP titled ‘Nia Lo’. Known for her distinctive blend of soulful vocals on traditional Amapiano instrumentals, Nia Pearl is back to reclaim her place in the music scene with her latest release, ‘Enchanted Mantra’.
Nia Pearl has teamed up with Amapiano maestro Kelvin Momo and together they featured the emerging talent, private school Amapiano, producer Stixx and rising vocalist Mzizi on ‘Enchanted Mantra’.
Kicking off the countdown to the EP’s release is the soulful single ‘Enchanted Mantra’ a 13-minute musical journey that takes fans and music lovers on a captivating ride through Nia Pearl’s musical universe. ‘Enchanted Mantra’showcases Nai Pearl’s undeniable vocal talent as she takes the lead in the single with Mzizi holding his own, complimenting her well.
“I met Kelvin in 2020 and we had planned to work on something, and it just never seemed to happen until last year. I think it’s so amazing that it happened that way because, the very first session we had, we recorded so many beautiful songs. On that day we recorded; ‘Amalobolo’, ‘Mehlomadala’ on Babalwa’s album and we recorded some other songs that will probably be on his next project. It was beautiful, the timing was right, and the energies were correct, and we were in sync.” Nia Pearl speaks on the day ‘Enchanted Mantra’ was recorded.
Known for her ability to seamlessly blend traditional amapiano sounds with contemporary influences, Nia Pearl shares the feeling of the upcoming EP; ‘I’m pretty much a versatile musician. In this specific project I am highlighting a certain element to me. My spirituality, my dreams, the things I have conquered and the fears that I have worked passed and what I am working towards.’ ‘Nia Lo’ serves not only as a musical journey but also as a re-introduction to Nia Pearl’s sound and style. Each track on the EP reflects her evolution as an artist and her deep connection to self and to the Amapiano genre.
