SHE WROTE THIS HEARTFELT MESSAGE ON INSTAGRAM
Today is my 4th sober birthday!
I like to do this comparison once a year to see how far I’ve come.
The girl on the left was a severely depressed alcoholic, had an autoimmune disease called Alopecia that made her hair fall out, had no money, a messed up old golf 1 that my gran loaned me – which i eventually lost as well. Bad decision after bad decision.
Then on the 16th of October 2013 I turned my life to a power greater than myself and said Aunty God – take the wheel!
The girl on the right has enjoyed 3 successful tv shows in 2017 alone, has a breakfast radio show, solid relationships with her family, friends, and the bank
Thank you to each and every person who has shown me nothing but love and support on this journey of recovery. Every day I am grateful for the endless opportunites!
I love you, because I love me.
I hope this inspires anyone who is struggling with any kind of addiction and self medication of undiagnosed mental health issues to know – there is hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel!
