Overalls aka Delela, are the 2018 Men’s Trend
Published 2 years ago by

Internationally – it is known as Overalls. But in Mzansi it is known as the delela – either way, it is the trend for men in 2018. The look was originally a functional work wear for the outdoors. This ‘cover up for working men’ as described by Vogue was then mass produced by Levi Strauss in 1873. It has retained its functionality as work wear with different designs for different industries in South Africa. The onesie continues to be a pop culture fashion item.

Not only has this romper type look graced international runways, it has been quite the trend on our local streets for quite a bit now. The look has predominately been denim inspired, but designers have jazzed it up and used different fabrics.
