Pabi Cooper is one of the musicians who are introducing the Amapiano genre to the world. FC Barcelona was spotlighting some of Africa’s biggest music stars who also happen to support the club and Pabi Cooper was elated. We all know that when it comes to music, Pabi needs no introduction her hits does that for her.
Recently, in a joint effort Banyana ke Bafana hitmaker, had the privilege of being included on the Spotify Africa playlist that Barcelona FC and Spotify put together titled “Barça African Connect.”
The Barça African Connect playlist, which also features music by other local artists like Focalistic and Ch’cco, now contains the Pabi’s songs: Isphithiphithi and Banyana Ke Bafana.
Pabi Cooper shared her billboard for Spotify Africa and Barcelona FC’s Barça African Connect playlist on her Instagram. “Banyana ke Bafana,” a football-inspired hit by Pabi featuring Ch’cco, has been streamed over 4 million times on Spotify.
Pretoria star is honoured to be part of high-energy playlist that features a dynamic mix of Amapiano, Afrobeats, and rhythmic tracks from artists like Burna Boy, Travis Scott, and Tems (to name a few) who are advancing these genres across the world.
