Principlez

Principlez, or iNtsindabadala as his day one fans may know him, is a hardcore lyricist with versatility to switch flows, rhyme schemes and language effortlessly to create an identity of his own, especially with the Xhosa clicks. Principlez is popular for his versatility and ability to switch flows, language and rhyme schemes effortlessly and Ekse Ntangam 2.0 is a true definition of that.

This is Principlez’ second offering, Ekse Ntangam 2.0 is off ‘The Original Alpha’ EP which is dropping later this year. The song is a sequel from a 2011 release, and the second single from the EP, following the well received debut single ‘Abasazi’ ft Bean n Pasco.

Principlez

Principlez’ career boasts 2 international award nominations for Best Video at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Nigeria and Ibiza Music Video Festival in England. Those are quite impressive accomplishments!

Principlez

According to Principlez, the video portrays a story of an underground god being raised from the dead by a powerful witch to rule the world, which is a metaphor for the rise of Principlez to the mainstream. The video is highly conceptual with powerful imagery and striking images.

The colour black and gold are the prominent colours for this video. Many images such as Principlez kicking the sand, the abandoned building and the lady in black are all mysterious which fits the idea behind the video. The director, Mpendulo Mabindisa nailed it.
