PUMA has completely revived its women’s trainer, Nova to create the new Nova Suede and it’s all thanks to the company’s brand ambassador, Cara Delevingne who was the inspiration.
Between her busy work in modelling, acting and social activism, Cara Delevingne always manages to fit in her love for experimenting with her various passions – without setting any constricting limits. Like Cara Delevingne, Puma designers also aimed to go beyond their limits when approaching the design of the Nova Suede by combining the brand’s iconic sports heritage featuring classics 90s’ designs together with bold, fashion-forward elements.
Although the sneakers’ overall feminine shape still takes direction from the original 1990s running silhouette and shape, the Nova Suede boasts a re-designed upper which is made of black smooth suede. This clean and minimalistic look contrasts well with the chunky midsole, which features hints of powder peach pastel accents. Lastly, piping details are inspired by light performance, together with subtle colour pops complete the latest version of the sneakers.
The minimalistic yet subtly bold colourway of the new kicks also allows for easy styling as this shoe can be worn with black apparel pieces or can alternatively be paired with lighter bold colours such as dusty pink worn by Cara Delevingne. It is the perfect go-to pair of kicks for those busy and active days as the comfortability aspect of the shoes’ suede feel and cushiony sole allows for non-restrictive movement as well as added support.
So make sure to visit your nearest Puma store to experience the new Puma Nova Suede yourself. The kicks are reported to be retailing for R1499. 00 from 5 October. Alternatively, you can order the sneakers online at Superbalist.
