The “Levels” album by the late rapper marked the start of a successful music career, defined by AKA’s affinity for his extravagant lifestyle, which he proudly showcased through his achievements.
Super Mega didn’t achieve this accomplishment alone; the collaborations and contributions of others were instrumental, with Vth Season’s boss, Raphael Benza, making notable and impactful contributions.
Benza took to Instagram to showcase AKA’s plaque for the Levels album, which garnered a favourable reception upon its 2014 release. In the post, the respected music executive addressed a recurring question about how he had foreseen AKA’s rise as South Africa’s top talent. He revealed that his confidence in AKA’s star potential was rooted in the late rapper’s bold creativity, exemplified by his decision to adopt the name AKA.
“Show me your favourite was greater.. Nah. That’s what I thought…… 2009-2015-Co. ! #RIP Kiernan Forbes…. I have been asked many times how did I know he was going to be the greatest Talent South Africa has ever seen.. I have a few reasons. 1 is because he named himself AKA. Can you even imagine what sort of imagination and foresight as a young teenager to name yourself AKA at the time. #AKA. What a classic Icon you are. #Justice4AKA #2015,” Raphael Benza wrote.
