Former Mabala Noise artist and rapper extraordinaire, Riky Rick has dropped 3 tracks today!
We have not heard music from Riky Rick in close to a year now apart from the features that he has been part of. The rapper returns and presents us with 3 joints and we can safely assume that we can expect way more from the rapper.
The style is far from what we have come to expect from Riky Rick. All the joints have heavy Trap influences and he experiments with the singing, something he has done in recent features. He flexes this on Oh Lord produced by BLFR. On this he expresses that he was busy with his life and balin’ and didn’t notice that his homies in the hood were barely making living. He sings: “I should have had you when you fell”.
On Bands Over Friends he sings about his struggle with losing his soul because he chose money and fame over real and true relationships. This mirrors his long stream of tweets when he announced his departure from Mabala Noise. This joint is not for everyone but anyone who has been through this will relate to it.
He raps on the one with Frank Casino titled Family. Produced by MorenoBeats, Family is bold and loud and the rapper declares that he made Kotini a proper noun. He mentios that he hustles and goes through all that he does because of the famo bruv! Frank Casino reminds us that he is still on top of things and flexes with his flow on this. The hook is an anthem for all those who are doing it for their boys and day ones.
Are you feeling any of these joints? Let us know!
