Back from his hiatus, Hip Hop and RnB crooner, Teepee is proud to bring you Amor, his new single taken from his upcoming EP produced by out of the box thinker and producer Kin Soul.
The sensational harmonist is not new to the music scene; back in 2006 he received a Metro FM award for Best RnB Album for his offering My Perspective. He has also featured and worked with some of South Africa’s well known and respected artists such as HHP, Amu, Morele, L-Tido and JR to name a few.
With love being the inspiration behind Amor, Teepee has done well in emphasizing the roots of the Rhythm and Blues genre through this single.
“All these years I’ve kept my ear to the ground. I’m well aware of the state of RnB worldwide currently and I feel the essence has been disregarded a bit, in fact a lot. So, with “Amor” I’m representing more than just a man embracing the love he has for the woman in his life. I’m taking a stand against the loss of the essence in R’nB. Evolution in music is all well and good, but in the process, we need to ensure that we maintain the essence behind it all”, says the muso.
With his EP set for release before the end of 2017, fans can look forward to collaborations with industry greats within the Hip Hop and Rap genre.
Commenting on his upcoming release and break from the industry TeePee says, “Wow, it’s been so long. I last released a solo album in 2009. The lengthy wait makes this new body of work so important for me and my career. A lot has changed in music and in life in general. I feel I have spent an enough amount of time working on myself as an artist and of utmost importance, my craft. Those who know me know I’m in studio all the time. I most recently worked on a collaborative project with Sean Pages titled The Outcome.
Remaining tight lipped on any further features and collabo’s, TeePee promises it’ll definitely be worth the wait.
