Short of a month after Robbie Malinga’s death on Christmas Day last year, the musician’s new, redesigned tombstone has finally been erected. Sharp criticism followed the veteran muso’s tombstone unveiling after social media complained that his statue looked nothing like him.

The tombstone – which was removed and re-designed by Bataung Memorial Services, the same company that built the first structure – was unveiled early this week at a private ceremony said to have been attended by Robbie’s close friends and family.
Bataung Memorial Services posted a picture of the revamped tombstone on its social media pages and while the jury is still out on whether the new, redone statue resembles the late singer, social media was quick to have their say on the matter and took to the funeral services company’s Facebook and Twitter pages to voice their opinions.
Lol, you guys are very bad at this thing. Stick to what you know and leave statues to people who can. What an ugly horrible statue pic.twitter.com/BDvXhrHIFw
