“I love you! I love you! I love you! May God bless you and grant you your wildest dreams!”. These are the words Muzart’s leading lady, Rori, had to share with all her YoTV fans the week leading up to her final appearance as a presenter on the teen variety programme. In 2009, a bright-eyed, bubbly and youthfully radiant Rorisang Thandekiso walked onto the YoTV set and entertained thousands of young viewers for the first time. More than five years later and this multi-talented woman is getting ready for her last show, “I’m going to miss my YoTV family (producers, crew, presenters) – they have been such a big part of my life over the past years”. Even more than the supportive team she worked with on the show, Rori confesses to the fear of missing all the loving and special viewers even more, “There is no feeling like getting off set and receiving love on Twitter and Facebook. All my fans have made this career so worthwhile”.
Although Saturday 26 April 2014 will be her last appearance as a presenter on YoTV the fans don’t have to start missing her too much just yet. Her on screen journey is far from over as she starts to explore her acting abilities in upcoming months. Rori explains how she owes a lot to YoTV for creating a stable platform for her career, “I’ve learnt so much and have been exposed to the beautiful world of entertainment – I’m going to miss the rush of being on LIVE TV every Saturday.”
Besides her acting career, Rori is prioritising her music. As the leading lady for the soulful pop band “Muzart”, she describes this as being on top of the list. With hits like “Jukebox” and “Party After”, as well as two SAMA nominations, her vocal talents are obvious and the fans can look forward to seeing her and the band light up many more stages and produce many more hits.
The beginning of a new adventure filled with challenges and exciting experiences, there is no doubt that Rorisang Thandekiso, Singer, Actress, Presenter, will be successful in any and every avenue she chooses. This talented and ambitious, young South African woman embodies everything that is wonderful about our country. Onwards and upwards, there’s no stopping Rori now!
