The SABC has been around longer than most of us have been alive and all throughout their decades of existence, the broadcaster has managed to not only entertain us but also raise us. However somewhere, along the line the broadcaster lost its way and a few thousand viewers.
Well, in the bid to reclaim their positions as the number 1 broadcastor in the land, the channel recently launched the #BeNewWithOne concept which is meant to capture what’s new on SABC 1 and share exciting developments with their audience.
As of the 6th of February 2016, new programming to the channel which saw brand new and exciting shows premiered to massive cheers from the masses. The new shows bring with them fresh home grown talent who present the gripping content on new creative sets and of course new scheduled time slots.
The existing shows have also been upgraded with new seasons of shows such as Uzalo which will be on 5 days a week and shows such as Nyan Nyan and Kulcha Kwest will be showing new seasons of the show.
The launch was of course done in style and was hosted at the luxurious Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in Sandton. Shout out to the SABC 1 PR team for the hospitality, massages and facials. It was an awesome day.
We are excitedly anticipating new drama series, Ingozi and the reality fashion competition, Raw Silk hosted by Pearl Modiadie. Also, the unfiltered and unscripted comedian, Skhumba and actress Gabisile Tshabalala, are on Throwback Thursdays.
