With life getting busier and more stressful these days we’ve prepared a tasty list of delicious foods that are known to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Salmon

Up first on our menu we’ve got a delicious salmon dish which not only tastes amazing but will leave you feeling great as well. Salmon, in all its goodness contains a high source of nutrients such as vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids which all help to regulate neurotransmitters for a more calm mood.

Green Tea

Next up, we have a steaming cup of green tea which is packed with amino acids that are great for reducing stress. One amino acid in particular, L-theanine has been studied for its beneficial effects on the brain that help to control anxiety.

Dark Chocolate

Then, to sweeten things up we serve some dark chocolate which has long been known for its mood lifting abilities. According to a study, dark chocolate contains a high source of flavonoids which have been linked to a reduction in neuroinflammation as well as an increase in blood flow.

Also on the menu we have eggs which serve as a great source of protein and vitamin D. Additionally, eggs also contain an amino acid called tryptophan that works to create serotonin to regulate mood and sleep.

And lastly, spicing things up we have turmeric which has been growing in popularity lately for its great healing properties. One active ingredient that is responsible for this is curcumin which is known to lower anxiety.
