It is Monday as usual, we bring the hottest and most celebrated men in the industry. Today, we are crushing on Sketchy Bongo, an electronic music producer, artist and DJ.
Masked composer, Yuvir Pillay aka Sketchy Bongo, was born and bred in Durban and his unique style of music has changed up the game for good. He is known for his trademark edgy beats and club sound. His music has influences of gqom, trap, Moombahton, Dubstep, Electro and all bass music.
Sketchy Bongo is also the only producer in South Africa to have his own feature on MTV Base, which play listed all tracks produced by him.
Sketchy has worked with established and talented artists such AKA, Danny K and Da LES to name a few. However, he gained prominence when he produced Back to the Beach by Shekinah and Kyle, which went gold.
Earlier this year, Sketchy scored himself a deal with Ultra Music Records and Sony. The deal saw the track, Let You Know with Shekinah, be the first track to be released and distributed worldwide. The deal with Sony comes after one of his songs was playlisted on BBC Radio, so it is safe to say that he is international.
He is currently one of the brand ambassador for Liberado, a premium flavoured beer with tequila flavouring alongside, Shane Eagle and Moonchild, to name a few.
