Asics Sportstyle x Coca-Cola Gel-Quantum 90 Tyo
Partnering up with Coca-Cola we have sportswear brand Asics re-imagining their Gel-Quantum 90 Tyo sneaker with a sustainable approach. With a concept inspired by future generations and creating a better world, the new sneaker design is made to have a lower carbon footprint.
As such, the sneakers are produced using recycled polyester, roughly four water bottles worth of recycled material to form certain parts of the shoes’ construction such as the uppers and midsoles. Also following in that eco-conscious approach is the making of the sockliner which utilized a dope-dye technique that overall requires less water. And of course for that extra comfortability, the shoe features the brand’s signature Gel technology that aids in cushioning impact. So if this sound like your kind of sneaker, the Asics Sportsyle x Coca-Cola gel-Quantum 90 Tyo kicks are currently available exclusively at Archives for R1,799.95.

With many anticipating the shoe to sport roughly the same features as the original, the kicks are expected to include uppers made of canvas with creamy tongues overplayed by more neutral toned leathers. And of course for that signature touch, the “Acorn” hue then finishes off the design with hits to the liners, laces as well as the outsoles.
