Nike LeBron 17 Mr Swackhammer
Nike is taking basketball to galactic levels with its new iteration of the LeBron 17 “MonStars” which is inspired by the Mr Swackhammer cartoon character. This comes as the anticipation for the upcoming American animated sports comedy movie, Space Jam 2 continues to mount.
Mr LeBron himself even sported a pair during the All Star game in Chicago where he opted to switch up the look during the fourth quarter of the game. The bright neon green sneakers are set to release tomorrow on the 19 February and are expected to retail for $225 (roughly, R3 391,88).
Nike Air Max 90 Triple Black
With the very first pair of Air Max 90s being released in 1990, these classic pair of kicks seem to be making a comeback in their legendary “Triple Black” colourway.
The upcoming Air Max 90s, which are set to drop on the 22 February for $110 (roughly, R1 658, 05), will feature a seamless mesh upper together with black leather overlays as well as nubuck on the iconic Swoosh logo. To complete the design, black matching branding elements were placed atop a black rubber sole.
Puma Rider Play
Inspired from Puma’s 1980 Fast Rider, the much anticipated Future Rider Play On “Luminous Purple” features bright color blocking colourways as well as a leaner last. The upper, which is made from purple lavender ripstop fabric also features black overlays, neon green detailing as well as the classic formstrip showcased in white. And for all your comfort needs, the sneaker is completed with an EVA midsole as well as a rubber outer sole for enhanced grip. Like the Air Max 90s, the Puma Riders are expected to drop on the 22 February and will retail for $130 (R1 957,46).
