Miona is set to make her grand entrance onto the music scene with her highly anticipated debut single, “Telephone,” scheduled for release on Friday, September 22nd, 2023.

Miona’s musical journey began at an early age, as she was raised in a family deeply connected to music. She honed her vocal talents as a church choir member and emerged as an intermediate singer in her school. Notably, in 2011, her school choir emerged victorious against provincial schools, marking a significant milestone in her musical journey. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Clive, who introduced her to the world of professional music as the lead band singer for his group in Musgrave, Durban. With Clive’s band, Miona delighted audiences with covers of well-known artists spanning Indian songs, American hits, and South African classics, earning a devoted following.
Her passion for music only grew stronger, leading her to continue performing and eventually hosting successful events with her associates. Miona’s talent did not go unnoticed, and she collaborated with renowned musicians such as MusiholiQ, Mzukulu, Mduduzi Ncube, Xowla, Siya Ntuli, and many others. Her association with Inkabi Records and FS World Records provided her with invaluable experiences and opportunities to work with music icons like Bab’Ntokozo Zungu, Reason, Fifi Cooper, Terrance McKay, Big Zulu, and more.
Reflecting on her journey to Sony Music Entertainment Africa, Miona expressed her gratitude towards Fisoh, who believed in her talent and tirelessly worked towards realizing her dreams.
