On Wednesday night at Emperor’s Palace, 16 comedians, together with Comedy Central and the The Smile Foundation gathered together in the name of charity. The three hour gala event saw eight comedians team up with eight celebrities gathered together for a good cause. From John Vlismas, Mpho Popps, Rob Van Vuuren, Joey Rasdien, Kagiso Lediga, Casper De Vries, Jason Goliath & Nina Hastie to ProVerb, Jeannie D, Robert Whitehead, Chef Benny, Bafana Bafana’s Mark Williams, John Robbie and Kuli Roberts.
Khanyi Mbau made fun of herself, she spoke about her bleached skin and past life as a gold digger.
Kagiso Lediga spoke about racism, as usual.
John Robbie had the crowd confused with dry bar jokes.
Mpho Popps had us all in stitches, he is a really funny guy.
Robert Whitehead is so terrible at comedy that he had to be escorted off stage.
Casper De Vries neh? I just don’t get this guy
ProVerb shouldn’t quit his day job.
Joey Rasdien just sounds funny
Bafana Bafana’s Mark Williams is funny, he even took off his false teeth on stage.
The show will air on 16 October at 21:00 on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122).
