The Castle Lite Kanye West feel the beat of the sub zero concert in Joburg was attended by a number of Gauteng socialites. Making a stylish impact were leading South African celebrities including Anele Mdoda, Khanyi Mbau, Mika Stefano, Tbo Touch, Slikour, Azania Ndoro, Tholi B, Danny K, Lorna Maseko, none more so that Pearl Thusi who was transformed into an Ice Queen for the evening. Kanye’s protégé D’Banj even made a surprise appearance in the crowd. The line-up included Hip Hop veteran’s Tumi from the Volume and ‘Bosso’ star HHP, TKZee member and kwaito original Magesh and the newest sensation in Mzansi hip hop, Zakwe. Guests were riled up in anticipation to find out who the surprise act was, who would be opening up for the Hip Hop superstar and to their delight were enthralled by a captivating performance by AKA, who appeared onstage in a larger than life ‘ice cube’. The night was a true celebration of South African musical talent, as twin DJ sensation Major League DJs and Ms Cosmo kept party revellers dancing the night away with their ‘ICE’ mixes. The MC’s and Castle Lite ambassadors Gareth Cliff, Sizwe Dhlomo, Loyiso Gola and Pearl Thusi effortlessly kept the audience anticipated for the main attraction.
