Bonang Matheba, Gert Johan Coetzee and Nthato Mashishi joined forces with Brutal Fruit to find as well as mentor South Africa’s next Goddess of Glam in the Brutal Fruit Goddesses of Glam campaign. The three month search culminated in an über-glam finale on Thursday the 19th of July, where guests were the first-ever to enjoy the breath-taking Sandton skyline from the 20th floor of the new Green Park Building in Morningside. Asked to dress glamorously in black, guests including Lerato Moloi, Shashi Naidoo, Jay Anstey and Donald Moatshe were seen to contrast against the vibrant dresses of Bonang and the top 6 finalists, who were all dressed by the brilliant Gert Johan Coetzee and had their make-up done by the masterful Nthato Mashishi. The stylish guests enjoyed the delicious food, decadent dessert station and macaroon bar, while grooving to the sounds of DJ’s Poppy Ntshongwana and Bego. The brand’s original glambassador, Bonang, was the host for the evening, giving guests a little insight into the experience the 6 finalists enjoyed over the three-day build up to the finale. “We thoroughly enjoyed mentoring the finalists; they are all so unique and ooze confidence, which I truly believe are the corner-stones of being a Goddess of Glam,” she remarked. “I personally loved mentoring the girls on the shopping spree, as we searched for their distinctive glam looks.”
The finalists all waited in anticipation as Carla Briers, Brutal Fruit’s Brand Campaign Manager, helped Bonang announce Tamzin Elliot as the ultimate winner of the Goddess of Glam campaign. “This whole experience has been truly surreal, no words can describe how excited and glamorous I feel,” Tamzin Elliot commented, as she won some spectacular prizes including: a consultation with Robynne Kahn, Sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, a Make-up consultation by Nthato Mashishi, make-up gift vouchers from Elizabeth Arden, VIP experiences, Swatch jewellery, a Bio Ionic hair iron, Evolution Brazilian hair treatments, tickets to a SA Fashion Week, Dermalogica treatment, Brutal Fruit for one year , a sponsored Diahutsu Terios Diva to drive for 6 months, a 1 year modelling contract and Z-card with Star Models, Levis Gear to the value of R4000 as well as a gorgeous Gert-Johan Coetzee dress. This is most certainly going to be a year filled with glitz and glam for Tamzin Elliot and something that South African ladies can look forward to next year.
