She is known for being candid and at times controversial with strong views on, well, everything so imagine our surprise when Ntski Mazwai announced that she is dropping an album in April.
The outspoken poet has taken to Twitter to announce that she will be dropping her new album on 27th of April which in South Africa is celebrated as Freedom Day. The album is set to be drop at Soweto Theatre in Johannesburg. “Ntsiki Mazwai’s 3rd album THE MASTERPIECE drops on FREEDOM DAY at Soweto theatre!!!! Music video drops TOMORROW!!!! DEDELUMAMIYA”.
The album is titled Masterpiece and it is 13 tracks long with no features. This is what Mazwai had to say about it: “I have travelled far and dug deep. I have been on a lonely journey trying to find myself. ..until finally i found my MasterPiece (sic).”
This is Mazwai’s 3rd album and it follows her 2007 debut album Ma Miya and 2013’s Ndigubani.
